10 miles away at the Desert Senita
Community Health Center in Ajo, AZ The clinic has doctors, x-ray, lab, and
emergency room facilities.
9-1-1 services are available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week for emergencies. Ambulance and
helicopter transports to Casa Grande, Tucson, and Phoenix area hospitals are available,
if necessary.
Most people with camping trailers or RV's use either
catalytic or
ceramic heaters,
run with propane, to take the chill off during the cooler
months and evenings.

store with deli, hardware store, satellite TV service, restaurants, gift shops,
a laundromat, and much more.

However, you need a satellite to get good reception. You also need to
provide your own power for the TV. For the most part, solar power is used by
campers at Coyote Howls. Since Coyote Howls has so much sunshine, you can
run most small appliances from solar batteries. One common solar brand is
Kyocera.

BUT hours are restricted.
They are 9:00 a.m. to Noon and 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. Generators
are generally used to charge batteries.
In
Ajo, there is the Lemonbrite Laundromat on Hwy 85 across from Pizza Hut.
There
are no laundry facilities in Why.
A non-denominational "sing-spiration" is held on Sundays
weekly during the Winter season at the Coyote Howls' community building.
Churches of many denominations are located in
Ajo, AZ. 10 miles
from the campground.
Unfortunately, the National Bank of Arizona in Ajo does
NOT provide money
exchange services, so money can only be exchanged in Tucson or Phoenix.

Yes!
You can hike on the reservation and enjoy the
beauty of the Sonoran desert. However, you must practice a 'leave no
trace' ethic. This means that you must NOT disrupt the landscape or carry
anything out.

allowed.

Rocky
Point, Sonora, Mexico, is a 90 mile drive from Coyote Howls. You
MUST buy Mexico Insurance before traveling into Mexico. It is
available at the gas stations in Why, multiple locations in Ajo, and at
the border in Lukeville.
Activities in Rocky Point include RV Parks, restaurants, bars, beaches,
deep sea fishing, dune riding, and more.
